Uncle’s story
It all began in the 90’s as a home-based operation smoking Kiełbasa (Polish Sausage) for friends within the Polish community. Founders Marian & Nora Poprawski simply made the goods people missed from their homeland in Europe.
When we took over the neighbourhood institution, we inherited recipes that went all the way back to the motherland, real smallgoods prepared the old-fashioned way. We decided to quickly change nothing at all. Instead, we honoured that legacy by combining traditional recipes and methods, with the ideas and passion of youth. We get up early in the morning to fire up the traditional open fire smokehouses, hand flip every sausage and sew every ham,
ever mindful that to make memorable products, we must not forget the past.
Our goods will take you back to a time when we didn’t buy products mass
